'Unlimited' rarely means unlimited at full speed. Most providers give you a generous daily allowance and then slow the connection sharply for the rest of the day. This page compares unlimited plans by their real cost per day of validity and shows the fair-use cap each one applies.
How this list is ranked: Filtered to plans sold as unlimited, ranked by price ÷ days of validity, cheapest first. Price per GB is meaningless here, so cost per day is used instead. The fair-use column quotes the provider's own stated full-speed allowance.

Get This PlanPrices are provider list prices in USD, last verified on September 4, 2026. Per-GB and per-day figures are calculated from those prices. Navi earns a commission when you buy through some of these links, at no extra cost to you — it never affects the ranking above, which is produced by the stated rule.
Usually not at full speed. Providers typically allow between 2 GB and 5 GB per day at full speed, then reduce the connection to around 1 Mbps for the remainder of the day. That is still usable for maps and messaging but poor for video. The reduced speed resets the next day.
It depends on your daily usage. If you use less than about 1 GB per day, a capped plan is almost always cheaper. Unlimited plans make sense for heavy users, video calls and remote work, where running out of data mid-trip is more costly than paying a premium up front.
Your connection is throttled rather than cut off. You keep working access for messaging, email and navigation, but streaming and large downloads become slow. Full speed returns at the start of the next day of your plan.
A $3.99 plan is not automatically cheaper than a $17.99 one — it depends how much data you actually get. This page recalculates every capped plan we track into a single comparable unit, price per gigabyte, and ranks them from cheapest to most expensive.
If you work while travelling, tethering matters more than the headline data allowance. Some providers allow it without limits, some cap it to a daily amount, and some never state a policy at all. This page lists only the plans that explicitly document unrestricted hotspot use.
